About Murphy
Meet handsome boy, Murphy!
This gorgeous boy came into care after his owners sadly had to surrender him due to moving overseas.
Murphy is an active, affectionate dog who thrives on attention and would love a home where he can be included in family life.
He adores being brushed and will happily soak up all the pats during grooming time you can give him. His beautiful coat will need regular upkeep to keep him looking his best.
Murphy is best suited to a home that can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation to keep his clever mind busy.
He's good with older children and would make a loyal, loving companion for an active family ready to give him the time and care he deserves.

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
