About Dottie
💕 Dottie is a 1 year and 6 month old French Bulldog weighing just 9kgs of sweetness, snuggles, and unconditional love.
Some dogs make an entrance.
Dottie quietly tiptoes into your life... and before you realise it, she's completely stolen your heart.
Dottie is now ready to discover what every dog deserves — a home where she is loved simply for being herself.
And trust us... it's very easy to love Dottie 💛
At just 9kg, she's a tiny little Frenchie with the sweetest nature imaginable. Gentle, affectionate, and incredibly loving, Dottie is happiest when she's close to her people.
Not on the other side of the room.
Not across the house.
Close enough to keep an eye on you and make sure all is right in her world.
Her favourite place? Right beside you.
Whether you're watching TV, having a coffee, working from home, or simply pottering around the house, Dottie is more than happy to quietly keep you company.
Like many dogs who haven't experienced much of the world, Dottie can be a little unsure of new things. Sudden movements, loud noises, steps, and busy environments can make her nervous. She isn't a bold, confident "charge into life" kind of girl.
She's a gentle soul who prefers to take things slowly.
The beautiful thing about Dottie is that every day she becomes a little braver.
Every new experience is another step forward.
Every kind word, gentle touch, and reassuring cuddle helps her confidence grow.
And watching that transformation is incredibly rewarding 💕
Despite her sensitive nature, Dottie absolutely loves life.
She enjoys exploring the yard, going for walks, investigating new smells, and soaking up affection from her favourite humans.
She also has a bit of a celebrity streak.
Trips to Bunnings are apparently one of life's greatest adventures, and Dottie is more than happy to ride around in the trolley collecting admirers everywhere she goes 😆
She gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys their company, although she is equally happy being the centre of attention as an only dog.
Children? Absolutely.
Dottie has shown herself to be sweet and gentle around kids, although she hasn't been tested with very young children.
She is toilet trained, sleeps happily in her own bed, travels beautifully in the car, and is continuing to gain confidence walking on lead.
And while she may occasionally bark at things happening outside, it's generally because she's taking her neighbourhood watch duties very seriously.
Someone has to keep an eye on the street after all 🐾
What Dottie needs now is not perfection.
She needs patience.
She needs kindness.
She needs a family who will understand that confidence doesn't always arrive overnight.
A family who will celebrate her little victories, help her continue discovering the world, and cherish the incredibly loving little dog she already is.
Because beneath those adorable Frenchie ears and sweet little face is a heart absolutely bursting with love.
And once Dottie knows she's safe...
She will love you with every single piece of it 💛
Some dogs are looking for a house.
Dottie is looking for her person.
Maybe that's you.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
