About Mindy
🐾 Meet Mindy 🐾
Mindy is a 4 year and 3 month old Miniature Poodle full of Love, Loyalty & FOMO 💛
Mindy weighs 6.2kgs
Some dogs arrive in rescue needing medical care.
Some arrive needing training.
And then there are dogs like Mindy...
Dogs who simply need someone to show them that the world can be a kind place.
Mindy has come into care after spending her life as a breeding dog. While she may not have experienced all the things many family pets take for granted, she has embraced foster life with a beautiful mix of curiosity, sweetness, and determination to be involved in absolutely everything 💛
And we mean everything.
This little girl has severe FOMO.
If something is happening, Mindy needs to know about it.
Kids swimming in the pool? She's supervising.
Family sitting on the couch? She's joining in.
Someone walking to another room? She's coming too.
A snack being opened somewhere in the house? She somehow already knows 😆
Despite her playful and affectionate personality, it is important to remember that Mindy is an ex-breeding dog. New people and unfamiliar situations can still feel overwhelming for her, particularly men she doesn't know. She may initially hang back, observe from a distance, and take some time deciding whether you're worthy of her friendship.
The beautiful thing about Mindy is that once she feels safe, her personality absolutely shines.
She becomes affectionate, loyal, funny, and incredibly loving.
She adores children and currently lives happily with children ranging from toddlers through to teenagers. She loves being part of family life and genuinely enjoys having people around her.
Mindy also loves other dogs and has formed wonderful friendships with her foster siblings. Because she gains confidence from having canine company, we believe she would thrive in a home with another friendly dog unless someone is home the vast majority of the time.
When she's not busy supervising household activities, Mindy enjoys running around the yard, chasing her furry friends, exploring outdoors, and then returning inside for a well-earned cuddle.
She has mastered the art of balancing playtime and relaxation beautifully.
One minute she's racing around the yard having the time of her life.
The next she's curled up beside you, sleeping peacefully while you watch TV.
Mindy also has a part-time career as a therapy dog in her foster mum's salon, where she happily finds a comfortable spot and quietly keeps clients company throughout the day. She has a calming, gentle presence that makes people smile.
Of course, no bio about Mindy would be complete without mentioning her quirky side.
This little lady has decided that squatting to wee is completely overrated and much prefers lifting her leg like one of the boys 😂
Wet grass for toileting? Absolutely not.
The concrete driveway? Much more acceptable.
We don't make the rules. Mindy does.
Since coming into rescue, Mindy has received all of her veterinary work, including desexing, dental treatment, a scale and polish, and two dental extractions. She is now healthy, comfortable, and ready to begin her next chapter.
Mindy will need a family who understands that trust takes time.
A family who won't expect perfection from day one.
A family who will celebrate the small wins, allow her confidence to grow at her own pace, and appreciate the incredibly special bond that comes from earning the love of a dog who has spent her life learning to trust.
Because underneath the occasional nervousness is a beautiful little soul who desperately wants to belong.
And once she realises she is finally home, there is no doubt she will love her family with her whole heart.
💛 If you're looking for a sweet, funny, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be included in every moment of life, Mindy may just be the girl you've been waiting for.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
