About Frankie
🌭🐾 Meet Frankie 🐾🌭
Attention Dachshund lovers... we have a little sausage-shaped sweetheart looking for her forever family 💕
At just 1 year and 3 month old and 6kg of pure Dachshund charm, Frankie is everything people adore about the breed — clever, loyal, cuddly, mischievous, funny, and completely convinced that human beds were invented specifically for her 😆
Frankie has come into care through a private surrender, through absolutely no fault of her own. Sometimes life circumstances change, and her family made the difficult decision to ensure she could find a home that was the right fit for her future.
Like many Dachshunds, Frankie prefers to make her own decisions about new people. She isn't the type to immediately throw herself into a stranger's arms. Instead, she likes to take a moment, assess the situation, and decide when she's ready for introductions.
But once you've earned her trust?
Oh my goodness ❤️
You'll have a tiny best friend who wants nothing more than to snuggle beside you on the couch, sleep in your bed, follow you around the house, and become part of your daily life.
Frankie is a beautiful mix of sweet and playful. One minute she's curled up under a blanket having the world's most important nap, and the next she's zooming around with her beloved stuffed monkey toy.
And yes... the monkey is a very serious matter.
She proudly carries it around, tosses it in the air, hides it, searches for it, and will happily show off her detective skills when you ask her where it is 😂
Being a Dachshund, Frankie also possesses that famous combination of intelligence and cheekiness. She can occasionally find herself in a little bit of mischief, but Dachshund people will know that's simply part of the package.
After all, life would be far less entertaining without a sausage dog plotting something.
Frankie gets along beautifully with other small dogs and has formed a lovely bond with her Dachshund foster sister. In fact, she would thrive in a home with another friendly small dog, particularly if her family works outside the home during the day.
She also loves children and enjoys being included in family life.
Cats? Frankie has met them. Her opinion appears to be that they should be her friends immediately. The cats have not necessarily agreed with this arrangement 😆
She walks beautifully on lead, enjoys outings and adventures, and is equally happy spending an afternoon cuddled up on the lounge.
Frankie is currently continuing her toilet training and will need a family willing to provide consistency and patience while she settles into her new home.
What Frankie is really searching for is a family who understands the Dachshund heart.
A family who knows that beneath that tiny frame is a dog with enormous feelings, fierce loyalty, and enough love to completely fill a home.
She needs patience.
She needs companionship.
She needs cuddles.
She needs someone who appreciates that trust is earned, not demanded.
Most of all, she needs a family who will love her for exactly who she is.
Because once Frankie chooses you, you'll discover one of the greatest gifts a Dachshund can give...
Her whole heart ❤️

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
