About Dottie
Dottie is a gorgeous young girl with a big personality, but you may not see it straight away. She can be quite shy when she first arrives somewhere new and will need a patient home that gives her a couple of weeks to settle in, learn her surroundings and build trust with her new humans.
Once Dottie feels safe and comfortable, her true personality starts to shine. She’s confident, charming and affectionate, happily trotting over to greet you, weaving around your feet and asking for head scratches and pats. She loves affection on her own terms and will happily seek out pats, scratches and company from her humans. When she's happy and relaxed, her surprisingly loud purr quickly gives away just how content she is.
Dottie is playful and loves toys, zooming around the house and wrestling with her brother. She’s also a biiiig stretcher - this girl absolutely loves a good stretch and can regularly be found dramatically stretching herself out at every opportunity. She has a fun, cheeky energy and really benefits from having another cat around to keep her company and help her feel secure.
Dottie will need to be adopted into a home with another friendly cat, whether that’s alongside her lovely brother Zorro, or into a home with a social resident kitty.
While Dottie is smaller than her brother Zorro, she's certainly not the tiny kitten she once was! Give her a little time and patience at the beginning, and you’ll be rewarded with a playful, affectionate and delightfully cheeky girl with an adorable little face.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
