About Buddha
Buddha is a loving girl who will come straight up to you to say hello and get a chin scratch. She's happy to be scooped up for a cuddle, and will try to steal some lap time when she can get it (there's pretty stiff competition for lap time in her foster home).
She has this hilarous habit of licking and nibbling on the end of your fingers. She's not biting you - it doesn't hurt at all. She just really wants to taste the end of your fingers. So much so she will reach up and gently grab your hand to bring it down to her level so she can lick you.
She's unfazed by the older kids in her foster home, and is fine with other cats. The resident foster dog also doesn't bother her. In her original home she lived with lots of other cats and a dog.
She's hopeless to photograph because she always wants to come up and rub up against the phone. Numerous attempts have been made to catch her unawares, but to not much avail.
She's fine being on her own but she's happy to see you when you're there. She's pretty relaxed and easygoing.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
