About Mittens
Hi! My name is Mittens, I'm a tricolour kelpie cross cattle dog girl, and I am one of the sweetest, most affectionate pups you'll ever meet. My gorgeous tricolour coat turns heads wherever I go, and my warm, gentle nature will steal your heart.
I am a true shadow dog who loves nothing more than following my favourite humans around and soaking up every cuddle I can get. My herding instincts run deep, so I notice everything and love being involved in whatever's happening. I get along beautifully with other dogs and I'm a total dream in the car, so road trips are always a yes from me! I have also been living alongside a cat without any dramas, which shows just how adaptable and easy-going I really am.
I am already crate trained, which makes settling into a new home that bit easier. I am still learning some of my basics, including sit and come, but I am keen, willing, and eager to please. With a little patience and consistency, I will pick these up in no time. I am settling well into home life and do well with routine.
Mittens will thrive in a home that gives her space to stretch her legs and burn off that kelpie cross cattle dog energy, and a yard with good, secure fencing is a must. She would suit an active individual, couple, or family who enjoys an engaged, loyal companion by their side. She hasn't had much experience with young children yet, so a home with older children or adults only would set her up for the most success. Another dog in the home would be a wonderful bonus, as she loves canine company.

To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at https://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-process-forms/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
