About Lemonade
Meet Lemonade 🍋
Lemonade is affectionate, outgoing, playful yet calm, and eager to please.
When Lemonade isn't out and about meeting and getting loved on by everyone she sees, she's at home demanding belly rubs and snoring/snorting away beside you. This spunky girl loves everyone just as much as everyone loves her. She is the biggest cuddle bug and would happily be joined at the hip with her humans if she could be.
Lemonade is a fast learner and very food-motivated, making training enjoyable and rewarding. She is still working on potty training, but we are about 90% there!
My ideal home:
Lemonade would do best in a home where she can be loved on most hours of the day. While she can be left alone for up to 6 hours from time to time, she much prefers company throughout the day.
Lemonade is very obedient, but if you give her an inch, she’ll take a mile. Because of this, she would thrive in a structured environment with patience, consistency, and guidance.
Given that Lemonade is still working on potty training, she and her prospective new human(s) would benefit from a home with a doggy door.
Lemonade came into care with an anal prolapse, which has since been successfully repaired, and she has had no issues since. To help minimise the risk of recurrence, it is important that she remains on a high-quality hypoallergenic diet to support healthy digestion and firm stools. Her future family should be committed to maintaining this diet and monitoring for any tummy sensitivities, as prevention and consistency are key to keeping her healthy long-term.
My energy level:
Lemonade is the ultimate couch potato whilst still enjoying the opportunity to go on a couple of short, casual walks every day.
She loves nap time just as much as she loves snacks and is happiest when curled up close to her people. Lemonade also enjoys snuffle mats, puzzle toys, and other enrichment activities that keep her mind stimulated while satisfying her love of food.
My suitability to children:
Lemonade would do well in a home with dog-savvy children aged 5+ who know how to be gentle and respectful with dogs.
My suitability to other cats or dogs:
Lemonade is very social with other dogs and likes 9 out of every 10 she meets. She has not yet been tested with cats.
Lemonade snores and snorts louder than most humans, and it is an absolute requirement that her future family loves that about her just as much as we do. 💛

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
