About Nixon
Open to meet older kids
Only dog in the home
Needs a little time to warm up!
"A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits." And our Nixon? He never quits!
With his gorgeous coat, goofy grin and mixture of subtle shyness and softness meets boundless ball of energy, excitement and enthusiasm, Nixon is ready to find himself a forever home!
The perfect duality of charming chaos and quite confidence.
Nixon is at his heart a softie, he's shy at first and a little reserved, needing just a touch of reassurance and consistency however once he is comfortable, he shows that he is still a puppy at heart and is all limbs, love and laughter.
He would thrive in an experienced home that can give him the consistency and companionship he needs to help him build his confidence and bring out the clever, charismatic character that's waiting to burst through.
Nixon is ready to leave the campaign trail behind and find himself a fresh start for his first official term in a loving home, he's running on a platform of snacks, naps and love.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
