About Ernie
Meet Ernie, a gentle and loveable goofball who's looking for a patient and understanding family to call his own. Ernie may start off shy and timid, but once he warms up to his new environment and people, he reveals his playful, vocal, and bouncy side that's sure to be a source of joy every day. With the right family, Ernie is destined to become a beloved companion.
Ernie thrives in an environment where he can gradually build his confidence, keeping him at a comfortable pace, as change tends to unsettle him. He's not suitable for young children because he's spooked by loud noises and frantic movement that shake his confidence. Despite this, he could have great successes with teenagers or older children who can appreciate his subtler cues and help him grow in his sense of security.
If you're considering adding another dog to the mix, Ernie might just fit right in! A calm and confident canine companion could serve as a fantastic role model for him. We kindly request that potential families engage in a meet-and-greet to ensure that Ernie and your current dog are compatible pals.
In Ernie, you'll find a devoted friend who's always ready to share a laugh and a wag once he feels secure. Ready to open your heart and home to a tender and affectionate soul? Ernie is waiting to embark on a joyful journey with you, a journey paved with patience, love, and plenty of tail wags!
