Sook *On Trial*

*sook is currently trialling his new home* sook by name and sook by nature – that’s probably the best way to sum up this lovely little dog!!!

recently surrendered to sarg for rehousing as his owner had too many dogs sook’s had a fairly tough start to life - we even heard he’d been sold for 20 bucks at one stage so that particular “owner” could buy a packet of smokes! thank goodness sook’s with us now so we can find him the right forever home where he’ll be safe and secure for the rest of his little life…

sook is enjoying being in care and being spoilt for the first time. He has his carers female jrt x pup to keep him company and they have a ball playing and racing around the back yard. Sook walks well on a lead and knows his name and has excellent recall when off-lead. He loves a good game of fetch and will bring the ball or toy back to you every time. Affectionate sook enjoys a cuddle and doesn’t chew or dig and is a good little watch dog. Sook can be quite timid and cowers around men he doesn’t know or feels threatened by so his carer is working with him to help build his confidence. Sook is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up his energy and at 3. 1kgs he’s a terrific “take anywhere” size! secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on, toys to play with and lots of cuddles to help sook feel wanted and special will make him a very happy dog indeed!

sook would enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a little friendly female doggie companion to play with (sook gets a bit frightened by big or in your face type dogs) or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he settles into his new home.
