About Buddy
š¾ Buddy ā 2 Year Old Bull Arab Mix
Slightly dopey looking, clever, peopleāloving sweetheart with a big future ahead of him
Buddy is the perfect blend of dopey charm and surprising intelligence. He may look like a big, goofy lad, but this boy is sharp. He loves learning, loves food, and loves spending time with people ā the trifecta of a dog who will absolutely thrive in the right home.
ā Personality & Training
Buddy has already mastered Sit, Down, Shake, and āGo to your bedā, and he lights up when heās working with someone. Heās incredibly foodāmotivated and genuinely enjoys training sessions, making him a fantastic match for adopters who want a dog they can teach, guide, and bond with.
Heās still young and full of adolescent enthusiasm, which means the occasional bunnyāhop greeting or jump when heās excited. With ongoing positive reinforcement and consistency, heāll continue to mature beautifully.
š¶ Other Dogs
Buddy has done well in his shelter dog meets ā he passed both male and female introductions with plenty of tail wags. He can be a bit overāenthusiastic at first, so he benefits from slow, calm introductions that give him time to process his surroundings. He currently has multiple walking buddies at the shelter and enjoys their company.
Outside the stress of the shelter environment, Buddy is expected to settle and socialise even better.
š§ø Daily Life
Buddy settles well in his pen, enjoys toys, and loves working on a wobble kong. Heās affectionate, peopleāoriented, and happiest when heās included in daily life. Heāll make a wonderful companion for an active, fun household that wants a dog to join them on adventures.
š A Note on His Past
Buddy hasnāt always been treated kindly, yet he remains a loving, gentle, hopeful dog with a huge heart. Heās ready for a family who will give him the stability, kindness, and reassurance heās been missing.
š” The Home Heās Looking For
Buddy will suit a family who can offer: A loving, active lifestyle Positive reinforcement training Patience while he continues to grow out of his teenage phase Slow, thoughtful dog introductions Plenty of affection and involvement in daily life
Buddy is a bright, affectionate young dog who will make a beautiful family companion. Heās ready to leave his past behind and start his new life with people who adore him.
