Petals

Petals is a beautiful 11-month-old Shepherd with so much love to give, and she's searching for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to grow in confidence. While she may be unsure at first when meeting new people or facing unfamiliar situations, once she feels safe and comfortable, her affectionate and loving nature truly shines through.

Sadly, Petals appears to have missed out on some important early socialisation, which means the world can sometimes feel a little overwhelming for her. In the kennel environment she may come across as worried or reactive, but outside of that setting and given time to decompress, she reveals herself to be a sweet, intelligent girl who forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. Once Petals knows you, she is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her humans.

Petals is looking for an experienced and committed home, ideally with someone familiar with Shepherds or dogs who need extra support building confidence. She will thrive with calm guidance, positive reinforcement training, and ongoing socialisation to help her feel secure in new environments. With patience and understanding, we know Petals has all the potential to become an exceptionally loyal and devoted companion.

At this stage, Petals would be best suited to a quieter home without young children, although respectful teenagers should be fine. She has not yet been tested with cats, and due to her current training needs, they may be a little too much for her right now.

For the right person, Petals will be such a rewarding companion - a gentle, affectionate soul who simply needs someone willing to help her feel safe, loved, and understood.
