Boris is a very sweet and sensitive boy who needs time and understanding to truly shine. While he may be shy when first meeting new people, underneath that cautious exterior is a loving companion waiting to form a deep and meaningful bond.
Boris prefers to take things at his own pace and doesn’t appreciate being rushed or forced into interactions. Instead, he’ll let you know when he’s ready—quietly approaching for pats once he feels safe and comfortable. Building trust with Boris is a rewarding journey, and treats are definitely the way to his heart! Starting with gentle treat trails and gradually offering treats by hand will help him gain confidence and form a positive connection with his person.
He finds comfort in soft voices and will respond beautifully to calm, reassuring chats. Once Boris feels secure, his affectionate side truly blossoms—he absolutely loves full body pats and will happily return the love with the sweetest little headbutts.
Boris is looking for a quiet, indoor-only home where he can feel safe, respected, and cherished. A quiet and routine household without children or dogs, where patience and compassion are in endless supply.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
