About Nora
Meet Nora, a young red and tan kelpie girl with a loving nature, clever mind and gorgeous cuddly side. This sweet young girl is full of enthusiasm for life and is now looking for an active forever home where she can continue learning what it means to be part of a family.
Nora absolutely loves being close to her humans and is happiest curled up beside you for pats, snuggles and play. She enjoys running and walking with her foster sister, zooming around the yard, sniffing and exploring her environment, and playing with toys and enrichment activities. She can be food motivated and is eager to learn.
Nora is very keen to follow other dogs around and would happily play all day, although she can still become a little boisterous and overexcited while learning appropriate manners and boundaries. She responds well to calm guidance and redirection and is beginning to settle more into routine each day. Nora is friendly with strangers and is slowly building confidence with new experiences, loud noises and the world around her. She has also recently discovered how fun car rides can be, especially with her nose out the window taking everything in.
Despite arriving in foster care with very little training, Nora is already proving to be a clever and willing girl. She is learning her name, sitting nicely, settling calmly in her place, walking well on lead and understanding that toileting happens outside. Like many young working breed dogs, she is still learning boundaries and appropriate inside manners, but responds beautifully to patient guidance, routine and positive reinforcement. Nora settles well when given downtime and would happily rest outside, in a crate or in a quiet room after exercise.
As a young working breed dog, Nora is looking for an active home committed to continuing her training, exercise and mental stimulation. She would love a home where she can be included in daily life, with regular walks, runs or adventures and a secure yard to explore. Nora could thrive as either an only dog with dedicated humans, or with another suitable dog. She is untested with cats and children.

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
