About Jasper - 13 Week Old Cattle Dog X
Jasper is a gorgeous 13 week old Cattle Dog x puppy (possibly with a little Terrier mixed in!) who is ready to find a loving forever home.
Currently sitting around the 5kg mark, Jasper is expected to stay on the smaller side, but what he lacks in size he definitely makes up for in personality and affection. Jasper is an absolute snuggle bug who adores human company. His favourite place to be is right beside you, whether that’s curled up in your lap, getting pats, being carried around, or simply touching his people while he relaxes. He forms beautiful bonds and loves being included in everyday life.
Like any young puppy, Jasper also has a playful side. He loves his toys, especially chew toys he can happily sit and gnaw on, and he is very food motivated which is making training lots of fun. He’s already learning sit, stay and come with the help of treats and positive reinforcement. Jasper is doing wonderfully with his routine in foster care. He is learning to sleep in his crate overnight, waits to be let out in the morning to toilet, and is starting to use the doggy door consistently with a little reminding. He’s also beginning lead training and is doing really well. The world can still feel a little big and scary at times, but Jasper is gaining confidence every day. He can be unsure around unfamiliar dogs initially, though he is not reactive and warms up with gentle introductions.
Jasper is looking for a home that will continue his training, socialisation, and confidence building while giving him all the love and cuddles he could ever want. In return, you’ll have a sweet, loyal little companion who just wants to be close to his people 💛

His adoption fee is $800, which includes desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.
He is currently in foster care in Killarney Vale, NSW. As he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption within the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, Cessnock, Upper Hunter including Singleton and Muswellbrook), as well as the Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing by 6 months.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
