About Novi
Meet Novi, a truly striking boy with the most beautiful grey coat, unique striping, and an incredibly handsome face that turns heads wherever he goes. His colouring and markings make him such a special looking cat, but it is his gentle nature that really makes people fall in love with him.
Novi is a calm, affectionate, and sweet natured companion who really shines once he feels safe and comfortable in his environment. When he is happy, he loves to chat to you with soft little meows, rub affectionately against you, and curl up on your arm or beside you for company. Watching his loving personality come through is incredibly special.
He enjoys all the simple pleasures in life, including good food, long naps in cosy spots, and finding somewhere high up where he can quietly watch the world go by. Novi has a peaceful and gentle presence about him and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving cat to share their home and daily life with
Novi is looking for a forever home where he can continue to feel safe, loved, and adored, just as he deserves.
Medical notes
Novi previously underwent surgical removal of an inflamed and ulcerated dew claw after developing a painful nail bed infection and surrounding skin irritation. Lab testing of the removed tissue confirmed severe inflammation and infection of the nail bed and adjacent skin, however importantly no cancerous or neoplastic cells were identified. The affected area was completely removed during surgery and Novi has recovered well. While the exact underlying cause could not be definitively identified, bacterial infection is considered a likely contributing factor. At this stage, no ongoing treatment is required.
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
