About Digger, the greyhound
If you are interested in Digger, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form: https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
Digger is a true gentle giant with an even gentler heart. Having been a much-loved pet for the past 1.5 years, he already knows how to be part of a home and has settled beautifully into family life. Sadly, through no fault of his own, his owner could no longer care for him, so Digger is now looking for the forever home he truly deserves.
He's the kind of dog who is incredibly easy to have around. Smart, obedient, and eager to please, Digger happily follows instructions and takes life in his stride. He's just as happy curling up for a snooze as he is tossing around one of his favourite squeaky toys or soaking up attention from his people. He loves cuddles, has a cheeky smile that wins everyone over, and enjoys car rides and little adventures with his family.
Digger walks beautifully on lead and loves getting out and about. He enjoys meeting other dogs and is always happy to make new friends, particularly with medium to larger dogs, though he'd also be perfectly content as the centre of attention in a solo-dog home. During a recent vet visit, Digger calmly met the resident cat, greeting them with nothing more than a wagging tail and his trademark smile.
Having lived in a small house with a little backyard, Digger doesn't need acres of space and could even suit apartment living, provided his exercise and companionship needs are met. He handles alone time well once settled into a routine and is fully house trained. Digger has also had lovely interactions with children aged 4–7 and has shown himself to be gentle and patient around them.
Digger is one of those special dogs who slips effortlessly into family life and quickly becomes everyone's favourite. Gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully easy-going, he's ready to find a family to call his own and will reward them with endless love, loyalty, and plenty of smiles.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
