About River
River is a big-hearted young Great Dane mix with an even bigger personality! This handsome boy is full of enthusiasm, affection, and potential, and he's looking for a committed home ready to help him continue learning and growing. River loves being around people and is quick to make friends, leaning in for pats and happily soaking up attention.
River will thrive in a home with respectable adults or teenagers who can provide him with a calm. predictable routine. He may also suit living with another compatible dog who can match his energy and social style. Ongoing dog socialisation and reward-based training are highly recommended to help him continue building positive experiences with other dogs.
With his goofy charm, eagerness to learn, and loving nature, River is sure to make a rewarding companion for someone ready to invest time into this wonderful young dog.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
