Meet Dixie - a soft tabby girl with a bright, cheerful spirit and a lovely balance of independence and charm!
Dixie's the kind of kitten who settles into a room as if she's always belonged there. She's sweet-natured and easygoing, with a soft confidence that shows in everything she does. Just as happy with her own company as she is joining in a lively play session, she might be anywhere at any given moment - batting at a toy mouse in a sunbeam, exploring quietly on her own, or sitting nearby watching the household goings-on with curious eyes :)
Self-sufficient though she is, Dixie really shines when she's around other cats! Often the first to invite another kitty into a playful chase or a shared wrestling match, she'd thrive in a home with another friendly cat who enjoys social play and interaction.
Dixie has a calm and pleasant presence in the home, and she's well-behaved and well-adjusted for her age. While not overly demanding, she does enjoy calm attention and will approach you for gentle cuddles when she's feeling ready.
If you're looking for a kitten who's affectionate without being clingy, playful without being chaotic and sociable without being demanding, Dixie might be your perfect match!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Dixie is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will give me the balance of space and interaction that I need, and plenty of patience as I grow into my personality. My humans will respect my independent streak and also understand that I adore companionship - just on my own terms!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I've got a relaxed sort of energy - swapping short bouts of activity (especially when toys or other cats are involved) with longer sessions of snoozing and lounging.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Great, I reckon! I especially like the sound of interactive playtime with kids who'll be gentle with me - I promise to return the favour!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Other cats are the best! There's every chance I'd get along well with cat-friendly dogs too.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
