About Anne & Charlotte
Anne and Charlotte are a beautiful pair of bonded sisters looking for a patient, loving home where they can truly blossom together. Having come from a hoarding situation, these girls missed out on early one-on-one human attention—but with time, safety, and kindness, they’ve been steadily discovering just how lovely companionship can be.
They share a strong bond, often playing together, curling up side by side for naps, and seeking comfort in each other. Wherever life takes them next, it must be together.
Anne – The Confident Little Entertainer
Anne is the braver of the two and brings a delightful spark to the home. She’s a vocal girl who will happily wander around trilling to herself. While she enjoys pats, she prefers affection on her own terms and isn’t one to be carried around too much.
Anne is wonderfully independent and often keeps herself amused, tossing toys in the air and chasing them with enthusiasm while Charlotte snoozes nearby. She has the cutest little quirk—a missing front tooth that gives her a permanent cheeky “smirk.” And if she’s really enjoying her pats, you might even notice a little drool of contentment!
Charlotte – The Sweet, Sensitive Snuggler
Charlotte is a gentle soul who takes a little time to feel safe, but once she does, her affectionate nature truly shines. She absolutely adores kisses and will lovingly rub her head against your face to ask for them.
She’s the cuddliest of the pair—often found snuggled under blankets, curled up beside you, or even sleeping on you. Mornings often come with a surprise visit from Charlotte, already nestled in and ready for pats. While she’s not a fan of being held, she’s happiest with all four paws firmly on the ground and close to her person. She also has a quirky favourite toy that she insists on “grooming” by pulling the hair out—strange but very much her thing!
Ideal Home
Anne and Charlotte would thrive in a calm, indoor-only home with someone who understands that trust takes time. Charlotte, in particular, will need patience as she adjusts to new surroundings, but with Anne by her side and a caring human, she will continue to grow in confidence. These girls don’t need constant handling—they simply want a safe space, kind companionship, and the freedom to love in their own unique ways. Medical notes
Bilateral Grade 3 Medial Luxating Patellas (MLPs):
Anne was examined and found to have bilateral medial luxating patella (MLPs). These are grade 3 MLPs, which means that the patellas (knee caps) tend to stay out medially but can be pushed back into the groove of the knee joint.
Entropion (both eyes):
Anne had entropion of her lower eyelids (eyelids were rolling in and rubbing on her corneas) and this was a source of irritation and discomfort for Anne. Surgery has been performed to remove some of this excessive skin. She has recovered well.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
