About Thunder
Introducing Thunder, a beautiful 2 year old male black and tan kelpie. Typical of his breed he is intelligent and energetic but also very affectionate towards everyone he meets. He already has some solid basic training under his belt.
He’s looking for a new adventure buddy who will take him on lots of adventures and include him in daily life. He likes nothing better than a busy day outdoors followed by quiet time at home.
Thunder has mastered shake hands, sit, drop, hand targetting, on your bed, wait for food and at doors and gates and has a solid stay. He is practising his recall and loose lead walking in foster care but his new family will need to work on these when out and about. He is house trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. He travels well in the car.
He is living with 4 other dogs in foster care and has fitted in well with the other dogs. He is very playful and loves a game of chase or tug with the other dogs. He would do well with another dog with similar energy levels or as an only dog.
Thunder loves to follow his foster mum everywhere but will settle on the floor of the office when it’s time to work. He would love his new family to include him in their day to day activities. Thunder would be best suited to a home without young children.
He needs a home that understands the needs of herding breeds and where he has room to move and stretch his legs and plenty of mental stimulation. His new family will need to be patience and commit to further training so he can become the perfect companion.
If you are looking for a new adventure buddy, apply now! Thunder is ready for you.
Thunder is located in NSW.
