About Pia
**AI generated replies to our adoption questionnaire will not be accepted**
Hi, I'm Pia! I'm a 5 month old Australian Cattle Dog x Kelpie. Cuddles are my favourite thing of all time!
Pia is a very sweet and sensitive young girl. She needs a calm and quiet home to help continue building her confidence and to show her all the fun things that the world has to offer.
An experienced home would be great for Pia, especially a home with another confident dog for company and that'll help show her the ropes.
We don’t think Pia would be happy with small children at this stage in her life. She can be timid with loud noises.
Pia is a gentle girl that so desperately wants to be with her humans as much as possible. She would love to be included in every day errands and activities as opposed to being left at home by herself. Being more on the nervous side, she'll need a patient handler that's willing to take the time with her - she will thank you with so much love and affection!
Pia is still very much learning about the world and all the exciting opportunities it has for her. She likes to take exposure and training very slowly so that she can process it all at her own speed. She really appreciates gentle guidance and support in her day to day life whilst her confidence is building up. She loves a cuddle so much and thrives on physical affection as it makes her feel safe and secure.
Pia is settling well in a crate and in a kennel when she has to be left alone for short periods of time. She's getting used to being attached to a leash and walking alongside her foster carer. She needs lots of positive encouragement to reinforce all the great inprovements she is making every single day. She loves treats and has good food motivation which will help with her future training.
If you are experienced with working breeds, already have a well behaved calm dog and happy to continue Pia’s training, then maybe she is the pup for you.
