Pencil

Pencil is a sensitive and gentle cat who is finding the shelter environment a bit overwhelming at the moment.

He is a bit of a nervous boy in general and is showing that he feels more comfortable in quiet, calm, and predictable surroundings where he can take things at his own pace. Once he feels safe, Pencil does enjoy gentle interaction and will accept soft pats from people he trusts. He is not a demanding cat, and he doesn't seek constant attention, but he does appreciate calm companionship and the reassurance of a steady routine.

Pencil would be best suited to a peaceful home without too much noise or sudden change, where he can slowly build confidence and settle into his environment. With the right match, he has the potential to relax, come out of his shell, and show his quieter affectionate side.
