About Flirt
Meet FLIRT
Temperament and Behaviour
Interaction with adults: friendly and getting more confident.
Suitable child age range: probably any if under supervision with younger kids, she’s quite gentle.
Interaction with other dogs: submissive but playful and friendly.
Best in a home with other animals? If yes, which: I think she’d adapt well to most
Better as an only pet: No
Energy level: Medium
Confidence level: Outgoing. Fears or triggers (e.g., loud noises, men, storms, brooms): She’s not worried about much at this stage.
General personality
Flirt is a friendly and social little girl who is playful and somewhat active but also loves a cuddle on the couch.
She shows some herding instinct so would do well with a person or family that understands working breeds or is happy to learn, and wiling to meet her needs.
She’s a well adjusted young pup who would suit a variety of living arrangements, she would do well with a friendly adult dog to show her the ropes and would also easily adapt to living with cats or other animals.
Training and Skills
Housetrained: In progress (doing amazing! Only had 1 accident inside so far and will even take herself out the dog door to toilet outside, but would still recommend taking her outside regularly especially at first in her new home)
Crate trained: Yes
Uses doggy door: Yes
Responds to name: Yes
Walks well on lead: Yes
Commands known: sit, recall
Behaviour on walks: likes her walks, doesn’t pull, getting more confident
Behaviour in the car: good
Independence level: balanced
Lifestyle and Routine
Favourite activities: eating, chewing, playing and having cuddles
Favourite treats/toys: loves all treats and likes toys she can chew on.
Daily routine in your home: breakfast then nap time, walks or play time, lunch and more naps, walks or play time then dinner, cuddles on the couch before bed.
Sleeping habits: sleeps in a crate, settles best when she’s had some cuddles on the couch first.
Special quirks or adorable behaviours: When she’s really excited she does tap dancing with her front feet and cute squeaks that sound a bit like little piggy oinks 🤣
Adoption Insight: somewhat active but she would be quite adaptable
Strengths / special traits: Just to be aware that she’s still young, she will still go through the teething stage and the the adolescent stage.
She’s cute, sweet and friendly. Has pretty much mastered the basics like house training and leash walking so is off to a good start but still a young and flexible girl for someone to train to fit their life.
