Young Dexter

Meet Dexter: A happy, funny little boy, in urgent need of a forever home that won’t give up on him.

Returned twice from senior owners, needs a younger family home or retiree’s.

This gorgeous boy is full of energy and personality, but he does have some quirks that we want to help him with.

To support his transition into a new home, we are including a free training session with an experienced dog behaviouralist, as part of his adoption fee.

We just ask that you follow our directions and initially don’t cause him undue stress and walk him in busy environments!

About Dexter-

Dexter is a sweet Jack Russell Cross Chihuahua who absolutely adores being the centre of attention!

He loves to play, enjoys his biscuits and bones, and is a big fan of snuggling up on the couch.

As a young pup, Dexter would thrive in a home where someone is around more often.

He would do well with dog-savvy children and a family committed to helping him improve his walking habits and barking. He is happy to play with small dogs.

Despite his challenges, Dexter is an incredible dog who deserves the chance to blossom into the amazing companion we know he can be.

We want to ensure he finds a loving home that will not give up on him and is willing to start by walking him in quieter areas.

Having come from a hoarding situation, Dexter hasn't had the easiest start in life. He is a bright and affectionate boy at home, but he feels the need to protect and guard his owner while out on walks. With patience and time, he can build his confidence and learn to trust humans again.
