About Lucky
Lucky is a Young Whippet cross who is still learning her manners and will benefit from ongoing guidance, consistency, and reward-based training. She's a spirited young dog who has had some negative experiences with handling, which can lead to displacement behaviours like zoomies and jumping up. Like many puppies, Lucky displays typical youthful behaviours and will need a committed owner willing to invest time in her training, including helping her learn to settle, walk calmly on a loose lead, and engage in appropriate enrichment activities. She can become easily over-aroused and is still developing her social skills with other dogs. That said, Lucky has a lovely personality. She enjoys playing independently with her toys, is a quick learner, and has a great ability to focus. With the right support and continued training, she has all the potential to grow into a well-mannered and balanced companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
