About Bolt
Bolt is a happy, affectionate little dog with a huge zest for life. He’s energetic, excitable and absolutely loves people, approaching life with the kind of enthusiasm that makes it hard not to smile around him. Whether he’s bouncing around excited to see you or climbing into your lap for affection, Bolt wears his heart on his sleeve.
Like many Cavaliers, Bolt is very people-focused and thrives on interaction and attention. He loves cuddles, enjoys being close to his humans and wants to be involved in whatever is happening around him.
Bolt can be reactive toward other dogs and currently has no reliable recall, so he will need continued training and management in these areas. He also resource guards food if other dogs are around, meaning his new home will need to understand appropriate feeding routines and boundaries. He’s a bright, well-meaning dog, but he will do best with an owner committed to ongoing training and setting him up for success.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are known for their affectionate, social temperaments, though younger dogs like Bolt can still be quite active and energetic before maturing into calmer adults. Bolt will suit a home looking for a fun, loving companion and willing to continue guiding him as he develops into a well-rounded dog.

Adoption details
If you’re interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an application form so we can get a sense of your home, lifestyle and what you’re looking for in a dog. From there, we’ll be in touch with suitable applicants to chat further and, if it sounds like a good match, arrange a meet and greet.
Meet and greets give everyone the chance to get to know each other and make sure it’s the right fit. If all goes well, we’ll move ahead with finalising the adoption and arranging a time for your new dog to head home.
All of our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and brought up to date with parasite prevention prior to rehoming.
Our adoption fees help cover the cost of this veterinary care, as well as any additional treatment a dog may need while in our care. They also play an essential role in our wider non-profit rescue work as any remaining funds go directly toward feeding and caring for the many rescued and rehabilitated farmed animals at our sanctuary, allowing us to continue rescuing and supporting animals in need.
By adopting, you’re not only giving a dog a home- you’re also helping us provide ongoing care for hundreds of rescued animals who call our sanctuary home.
