Okapi

Okapi is a deeply affectionate and people-loving cat who quickly wins hearts with his sweet nature. While he may seem a little wary or skittish at first, it doesn’t take long for his true personality to shine, before you know it, he’ll be rolling around happily in your lap. He gets along wonderfully with young children and thrives on gentle attention, especially pats and head scratches. In fact, he’s one of the most affectionate cats you’ll meet, always seeking connection and closeness with his people.

This charming boy has a playful side too, with a particular obsession for chew toys and a strong love for his cat tree. especially the hammock, where he enjoys lounging in comfort. He prefers affection around his head and back, as belly scratches can sometimes turn into playful wrestling (complete with little nips), so it’s best to keep interactions in his comfort zone. Okapi is happy to be held, but it’s important to let him come to you first, as he can become startled if picked up unexpectedly. At heart, he’s a true lap cat who enjoys bonding on his own terms.

Best suited as the only cat in the home, Okapi has a huge personality that more than makes up for being one limb short. He is incredibly intelligent and resourceful, showing a level of curiosity and interaction with his environment that is truly special.
