About Taco
Meet Taco: proof that dynamite really does come in small packages.
At just 10 kilos, Taco is the canine equivalent of a fun-sized snack… except this snack can outsmart you, outdance you, and probably learn your Wi-Fi password if sufficiently motivated by treats.
Part Chihuahua, part Cavoodle, and 100% good energy, Taco approaches life like every day is the grand finale of a talent show. Sit? Easy. Down? Child’s play. Middle, figure 8, weave walking, dance, spin? Taco says, “What else ya got?” He absolutely lives for learning tricks and showing off his impressive résumé of skills to anyone willing to clap for him (or hand over snacks).
Taco would thrive in a home without kids or cats zooming around, as this just isn’t really his vibe. Think “cozy café philosopher” trapped inside the body of a tiny circus performer. He loves a walk, then a snooze on his favourite person’s lap, cuddled in a soft, cozy blanket. He’d especially love a little canine buddy around his size and energy level, someone to zoom with, wrestle with, and exchange important neighbourhood gossip with.
He’s clever, hilarious, affectionate, and packed with enough personality to fill a dog three times his size. If you’ve been searching for a best friend who can make you laugh daily while also casually performing a spin routine in your kitchen, Taco may just be your soulmate in dog form.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
