About Monty
🐾 Meet Monty 🐾
5 Months & 2 Weeks old, Cocker Spaniel who is 11.5kgs of Pure Love 💙
If Velcro made puppies… they’d probably look exactly like Monty 🥹
This ridiculously adorable Cocker Spaniel boy is equal parts playful goofball, cuddly best friend, and professional shadow. If you’re looking for a dog who will adore you with his whole entire heart, Monty is absolutely your guy.
Monty’s favourite place in the world?
Right beside you.
Actually… preferably ON you 😆
This sweet boy follows his humans everywhere and believes personal space is highly overrated. Pause for even a moment and you’ll likely find him curled lovingly on your feet, gazing at you with those big soulful eyes that could melt absolutely anyone.
At just 5 months and 2 weeks old, Monty is still very much a puppy — and all the hilarious puppy chaos comes included free of charge 😂
🚨 Toilet paper may mysteriously explode
🚨 Shoes occasionally relocate themselves
🚨 Woolies bags are apparently his mortal enemy
🚨 Water bowls are meant to be sprinted through at full speed
Monty is a clever little boy who is already doing wonderfully with his toilet training and responds beautifully to guidance and praise. He’s eager to learn and would thrive in a home committed to continuing his training, enrichment, and socialisation.
He absolutely LOVES to play fetch and already knows the rules perfectly — bring toy back, drop toy, stare at human intensely until thrown again 🎾
Monty also adores other dogs and would benefit greatly from a home with another playful canine companion. He absolutely loves wrestling, zooming, chasing, and bouncing around with his foster sibling, and having another dog around helps keep his busy little mind happy and occupied.
Despite his playful puppy energy, Monty also has the sweetest snuggly side. He’s more than happy to curl up on the lounge beside you, snooze at your feet, or soak up tummy rubs for hours. In fact, this boy has approximately 47 “scratchy spots” that instantly send his legs kicking into the air with pure happiness 😆
Monty thrives on love, companionship, attention, and being included in daily life. Because he forms such strong bonds with his people, he would suit a home where someone is around more often than not (ie can work from home, shift workers, generational family living etc). Monty would not be a dog that would be happy being left home alone 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
He’s still learning about the world and can become anxious when separated from his humans, but with ongoing routine, patience, and love, this beautiful boy is going to blossom into the most incredible companion.
Monty absolutely loves kids and currently lives with young children who he adores following around for cuddles and attention 💕
He has also previously lived with a cat and had no issues, although he may very enthusiastically try to make any resident cat his new best friend.
Monty loves to walk and explore his surroundings. He walks beautifully on lead until distracted, but has the cutest little bouncing trot that makes everyone smile when they see him coming 🐾
Bath time? No problem. Brushing? Even better — because it means extra attention! Sitting still long enough for grooming is another story entirely because he’s just SO excited to be close to you 😆
Monty is not a fan of crates and much prefers snuggling up with another dog at bedtime… or ideally curled up on the bed with his humans if allowed.
Monty is affectionate, funny, social, loving, slightly clumsy, ridiculously soft, and full of personality. He trips over his giant teddy bear paws, talks back in his own little language when excited, and loves every single person he meets.
Most of all… Monty just wants someone to love him as much as he will love them 💙

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
