This gorgeous boy is sadly looking for a new forever home through absolutely no fault of his own. His owner loves him dearly but knows that Murphy deserves a family who can give him what he craves most… time with his people. Making this decision has been heartbreaking, but it’s one made entirely out of love.

Murphy is a happy, affectionate boy who simply adores human companionship. Whether it’s joining you while you work, heading out for an adventure, playing fetch in the backyard, or curling up for cuddles at the end of the day, Murphy just wants to be wherever you are. He’s incredibly intelligent, eager to please, and always ready to put a smile on your face with his goofy personality. His owner jokes that he sometimes thinks he’s a kangaroo! 🦘❤️

Murphy has completed obedience training and knows a wonderful range of commands including sit, stay, down, come, wait, fetch and shake. He’s polite with treats, waits patiently for permission before eating or coming inside, enjoys car rides, walks well on lead with only a little enthusiasm, and loves chasing a tennis ball.

He has lived with teenagers, has been around children from newborns upwards, and is described as friendly, gentle and playful with kids. Murphy loves people and has no history of aggression towards people or animals.

Murphy would thrive in a home where someone is home more often than not, or where he can accompany his person to work. He isn’t a dog who enjoys spending long days alone—he truly comes alive when he’s included in family life.

While Murphy’s ideal home would be as the only dog, where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves, we would also consider a home with a well-socialised female dog of a similar size. Any canine introductions will need to be slow, positive and carefully managed, giving Murphy every opportunity to build a successful relationship. With the right match and a patient family, we believe this beautiful boy has so much love to give.
