Meet Donnie 🖤🤍

Donnie is a very sweet boy hiding behind a very scared and shy exterior. He may be nervous when meeting new people, but we know there is a gentle, loving little soul underneath - he just needs someone patient enough to give him the time and space to show it.

Donnie is definitely a cat's cat. He is wonderfully tolerant of other cats and seems to really enjoy their company, so a calm, friendly feline companion could be a wonderful match for him.

This handsome boy loves wand toys and interactive toys, particularly the kind that let him have fun without needing to get too close to people. He is also a big fan of treats - Churu sticks and Temptations are firm favourites! He enjoys having treats scattered around a room so he can go exploring and find them himself.

Donnie is still learning that humans can be trusted. Direct eye contact can make him nervous, and he isn't comfortable being handled yet. He will happily lick Churu from a finger, though, which is a lovely little starting point for building trust and eventually encouraging him to accept gentle touch. When people are in his space, he tends to keep his distance, but if you look away and give him the freedom to do his own thing, he will quietly wander, explore and even play. He really comes into his own when he has the room to himself.

Donnie will need a very special home. He is looking for experienced, patient owners who understand that trust cannot be rushed and that it may take him some time - potentially quite a while - to feel comfortable and confident. A quiet, calm household without young children would be best, where he can settle at his own pace without too much noise or activity.

Donnie may not be the boy who runs up to greet you on day one, but for the right person, watching this frightened little cat slowly discover his confidence will be incredibly rewarding. ❤️
