About Freja
Freja is a desexed female domestic short hair mix available for adoption in Kalkallo (Northern Melbourne, VIC).
Freja has a word for attention. She hops up, catches your eye and gives a distinctive trill that means she is ready for pats, play or a little shared company.
She is independent enough to shape her own day and affectionate enough to seek out her person, groom them and make every reunion known.
A little about Freja:
🐾 Loves asking for attention with her signature trill
🐾 Adores warm sun patches and her plush cat-tree bucket
🐾 Lights up when the wand toy appears
🐾 Builds loyal bonds through grooming, greetings and daily check-ins
🐾 Loves sharing a home with calm, respectful people and dogs
Freja moves through the household with quiet purpose. She finds a sunny place, settles into her favourite bed and checks in when there is something worth joining.
When play is on the agenda, her calm manner makes way for fast paws and focused wand-toy pursuits. She gives the game her full attention, then returns to her resting place with the satisfaction of a job completed.
Her affection is equally deliberate. She seeks out her person, offers a grooming lick and uses that unmistakable trill to begin the next interaction.
With visitors, Freja has her own social sequence. She finds a comfortable position, watches the activity and reappears when the household has found its familiar rhythm.
Give her the freedom to choose her moment, and you’ll find the real magic happens when she arrives with something to say.
Freja has lived comfortably with large dogs and may suit a home with a calm, cat-aware canine companion. She holds her space confidently and communicates what she wants without fuss.
An adult household gives her habits room to unfold. She suits a guardian who appreciates feline independence, recognises clear body language and enjoys being actively chosen for attention.
Freja is an indoor cat. A secure home with warm lookout spots, opportunities to explore and regular interactive play will keep her world full.
Life with Freja looks like a cat tucked into her plush bucket, monitoring the day from above. Later, she pads over, requests a wand session and trills until you understand that pats are next.
Freja knows what she likes, and sharing those things is how she makes someone part of her life.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
