About Sketti
Sketti is a sensitive little guy still learning that the world isn’t as scary as it once felt. When he first arrived, he would hiss when approached, not out of aggression, but pure fear. With time, patience, and gentle handling, he’s already made wonderful progress. Fast movements can still startle him, but his confidence continues to grow day by day as he realises people can be safe.
Once Sketti feels comfortable, his sweet nature shines through. He becomes affectionate, leaning in for smooches and enjoying gentle interaction, especially when you approach slowly or at his level rather than from above. He even allows being picked up and held, showing just how much trust he’s building. He also has a playful streak and will happily engage in games when he’s feeling brave.
Sketti has previously lived with three respectful large‑breed dogs. He tolerated their presence and could coexist peacefully, though he didn’t seek them out for direct interaction. With this history, he may be able to live with calm, well‑mannered dogs again, provided introductions are slow and considerate. He hasn’t met children yet, but older, gentle kids who understand how to move slowly and respect boundaries may be suitable.
Because Sketti is still developing his confidence, he needs a patient, understanding home that will let him progress at his own pace. He must also go home with another friendly, confident cat, as having a feline companion will help him continue to grow and feel secure. With the right environment and lots of kindness, Sketti will blossom into a loving, loyal companion.
