About Seth! 😎
Meet Seth! 🐾❤️
7 years young, Staffy mix, professional zoomie enthusiast, and owner of the world’s goofiest oversized head.
Seth is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart. He may not be the tiny fluffy puppy everyone rushes toward, but if you stop and spend five minutes with him, you’ll see what makes him so special.
At around 23kg, knee height, and built like a little tank, Seth is still incredibly fit and full of life. Despite being 7, he still gets excited for walks, loves a big run around the pound, and absolutely lives for chasing balls and fluffy toys. (Although fair warning — plush squeaky toys don’t stand a chance with him 😂)
His favourite things in life?
🍖 Food
🎾 Toys
👨👩👧👦 His people
Food is definitely Seth’s love language, and he’s already learned to sit and shake. He enjoys enrichment toys like Kongs and raw bones much more than chewing furniture or bedding — he’s actually very respectful in his kennel and keeps it clean overnight, waiting patiently to go outside in the morning. Clever boy!
Seth is still brushing up on his lead manners and can pull when he gets excited, but he’s eager, happy, and very manageable. He doesn’t jump up, has lovely manners with people, and loves simply being around his humans.
While Seth has been around other dogs and gets along well with relaxed female dogs (especially his friend Maggie at the pound), he’s spent his life as the “only child” and would really thrive as the solo dog in his new home where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself.
Because he loves chasing toys so much, Seth is not suited to a home with cats.
Honestly, dogs like Seth are often overlooked in shelters. People walk past because he’s “just another Staffy.” But he’s gentle, affectionate, goofy, loyal, and ready to be someone’s best mate. He deserves more than being overlooked.
Seth isn’t quite ready to leave the pound yet, but he is expected to be available from 3/6/26 (possibly sooner pending arrangements). We are taking expressions of interest now.
If you’d like to meet Seth, please call the pound ❤️
