Scout is an 11 month old Bull Arab mix who is looking for a patient, loving forever home. He originally came to the shelter as a surrender alongside his sister as his owners couldn't look after him anymore. Now that he is in our care, we are trying our hardest to find the right people to send him home with.

Scout is a truly sweet and misunderstood boy who can be quite timid when meeting new people or navigating unfamiliar environments. However, once he warms up to you, his incredibly affectionate nature shines through. He simply needs the right people to show him that everything is going to be okay.

Because Scout is a gentle soul who takes a little time to build his confidence, his perfect home will need to meet a few specific criteria to help him thrive.
He can happily go home with high school aged children, provided they have prior dog experience or a solid understanding of how to behave around fearful dogs. Loud noises and sudden movements can startle him, so a safe, predictable environment is best.

Scout could also benefit immensely from living with another dog to help build his confidence. Any potential canine sibling must be calm and balanced, offering him a steady, reassuring presence rather than overwhelming him.
