About Bunbuns
BunBuns is a sweet and loving girl who will quickly steal your heart. She adores head pats, comes running at food time, and absolutely loves her treats. She enjoys spending her days tunnelling through cardboard boxes, digging, shredding and exploring her surroundings. BunBuns also enjoys a little bit of height and loves hopping onto her cardboard castles, though due to her previous hip surgery, these should remain low and safe for her.
BunBuns requires soft vet bedding flooring in her space, with hard floors avoided where possible, and she should not be encouraged to jump from high places. She would truly thrive as an indoor, free-roam bunny where she can be close to her people, happily following her human around the home.
She absolutely loves soaking up the morning sunshine by a window and needs plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy her zoomies — something she is very good at! Watching BunBuns race around happily is guaranteed to make you smile.
She loves her greens, fresh oat hay and quality hay, and enjoys toys she can toss around and interact with. BunBuns would also love the companionship of the right bunny friend to share her life with.
If you are looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with lots of personality, BunBuns may be the perfect match for you 💛
Medical notes
Bunbuns under went a hip amputation (removal of the “ball” of the hip joint). While it sounds confronting, this surgery will give her a pain-free future. Her body will gradually form a “false joint” made of scar tissue, allowing her to move again without the pain she was living with. And most importantly… she’s been able to keep her leg 🐰💛
Her recovery has gone exceptionally well and she moves around doing her zoomies with pride.
