Meet Nixon, an 11-year-old Terrier X searching for a quiet, understanding home to enjoy his golden years. This sweet senior boy is looking for an adults-only family who can give him the patience and gentle support he needs to feel safe and secure.

Nixon can be very nervous around new people, so it's important that his new family is willing to take things slowly and allow him to build trust at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, Nixon has the potential to form a very special bond with his people. He would thrive in a calm household with a predictable routine and owners who understand that good things take time.

While Nixon would be happiest in a peaceful environment, he may be suitable to live with another calm, well-mannered dog pending a successful meet and greet at the shelter.

This lovely older gentleman has also shown some interest in soft toys and enjoys having comforting little treasures around him.

As a senior dog, Nixon does have some ongoing medical needs, including heart disease, which will require continued veterinary care and management. Our veterinary team will be happy to discuss his medical history and future care requirements with potential adopters.
