About Dot
Dottie is a sweet, affectionate lady estimated to be around 6 years old. She’s a beautiful brown tabby with lovely blonde and red tones running through her coat.
Since coming into care, Dottie has gained her strength after being a little undernourished, and she’s now well on her way back to great condition.
Dottie loves a good “chat” and will happily nuzzle up to you for attention. She especially enjoys having her ears and head scratched, rewarding you with the most soothing purrs. While she’s not a lap cat, she adores being close by—content to sit beside you on the couch or bed as a calm, loyal companion.
She is currently getting along with other cats, but she would likely thrive best as the only pet in the home where she can soak up all the attention. Dottie can be a little cautious around unfamiliar sounds and new people, so she’ll need a safe, quiet space to retreat to while she builds her confidence (vacuum cleaners are definitely not her favourite!). She has shown a strong preference for adults—particularly men—and would likely do best in a home without young children, though this may change with gentle introductions over time.
Dottie enjoys a routine of two small meals a day with tasty extras, along with access to high-quality dry food and fresh water throughout the day. She’s a big fan of her cat tree and loves perching up high to be patted and involved in the action.
She is a really healthy and happy cat despite her earlier circumstances.
Dottie would be a wonderful companion for a quieter household, particularly with an older adopter or family. She has a gentle, affectionate nature and just wants a safe place—and someone special—to call her own.
