Gordon is an incredibly handsome gentleman with a soft, affectionate soul just waiting to be shared with the right person. While he may be a little shy when meeting new people or adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings, don’t let that fool you—this lovely boy simply needs a bit of time and patience to feel safe.
Once Gordon settles into his forever home, his true personality shines. He becomes a deeply affectionate companion who adores curling up for snuggles—especially in bed—and will happily keep you company during quiet moments. And when it comes to mealtime, Gordon’s enthusiasm is undeniable—this boy really loves his food!
Gordon is a sensitive soul who prefers a calm, peaceful environment. Loud noises aren’t his thing, and he thrives in a home where life moves at a gentler pace. For this reason, he would be best suited to a household without children or dogs, where he can truly relax and feel secure.
As an FIV+ fellow, Gordon will need to be kept indoors only to ensure he stays safe and healthy. With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives—and Gordon is no exception.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and can offer a quiet home along with a little patience as he settles in, Gordon will reward you with endless affection and companionship.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
