Meet Digga, a big-hearted six year old American Bulldog who is ready to exchange shelter life for a couch of his very own. This handsome boy came to us as a stray, and while we might not know much about his past, we do know he is an absolute sweetheart with a ton of love to give. He is a strong, enthusiastic lad who can be a bit jumpy when he gets excited, but his goofy charm and affectionate nature make him impossible to resist.

Digga is looking for a family that can match his size and energy with a bit of dog handling experience. Because of his bouncy nature and strength, he would be best suited to a home with mature, secondary school aged kids who are already comfortable around larger breeds. He has the potential to share his home with another canine companion, provided they are a well matched match and can respect his space while he settles in.

Digga has a history of ear infections and skin conditions that will require ongoing care and attention to keep him feeling comfortable and healthy. With a dedicated family to manage his routines and a little patience, this sweet big guy will make an incredibly loyal and loving addition to the family.

To help Digga put his best paw forward, his new owners will need to commit to some ongoing guidance. He is currently working on his manners and needs counter conditioning when it comes to handling, particularly when it is time to be leashed up or have a harness put on. He also requires gradual, positive introductions to other dogs, which means avoiding dog parks and high traffic canine areas right after adoption is an absolute must so he can focus on bonding with you.

Digga is a sweetheart through and through, and with the right home we know this big mushy boy will flourish and bloom, as all good dogs do.
