Kylo is a super sweet, friendly, outgoing boy who believes every human is a new friend. He loves greeting people with enthusiasm and thrives on being included in daily life. While he previously lived with Bobby and gives Bobby a lot of confidence, Kylo is now looking to be adopted on his own. However, for adopters interested in welcoming two dogs, Bobby is the only dog Kylo could happily be rehomed with.

Although he’s currently overweight and on a metabolic diet, Kylo still enjoys a surprising amount of activity for an older boy. He loves his walks, pottering around the yard, and exploring at a gentle pace. His target weight is around 10 kg, so he’ll need an adopter committed to steady, healthy weight loss and regular, gentle exercise. Once his coat grows back, he’ll also require routine grooming to keep him comfortable and looking his best.

Kylo is mostly house‑trained at the shelter, though he occasionally toilets in his pen but with a consistent routine in a home environment, this should continue to improve. He walks nicely on lead under normal circumstances, but he does struggle with dog reactivity. When he sees other dogs, he can become vocal, pull toward them, and needs plenty of distance to feel safe. He is not suitable for dog parks or high‑traffic dog areas, and he will benefit from ongoing training and desensitisation with patient, positive‑based methods.

Kylo’s ideal home is one that offers calm surroundings, low dog traffic, and plenty of human companionship. He will thrive with someone who enjoys his affectionate, social nature, is home a lot and is willing to support his weight‑loss journey and training needs.
