Ivy

Ivy is a shy, timid kitty who has missed out on some early socialization, which means he will need a patient and understanding home to truly shine. In a new environment, Ivy may feel overwhelmed at first and will do best starting off in a small, quiet room where he can settle at his own pace before gradually exploring the rest of the house. Providing plenty of safe spaces—such as scratch posts, cat trees, cozy hides, and access to higher areas like shelves or dressers—will help him feel secure. With time, kindness, and patience, Ivy will begin to show his true personality.

Ivy would thrive with an adopter who understands that building trust takes time and is willing to let him come out of his shell on his own terms. He would do well in a home with respectful children aged 8 and older who can recognize when he needs space. Ivy may also enjoy the companionship of another friendly cat, provided introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully, with food and enrichment spread out to avoid any competition. He could potentially live with a calm, social dog if interactions are closely supervised. With the right support and environment, Ivy has all the potential to blossom into a loving and rewarding companion.
