About Humphrey
Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, this cat is ready to walk into yours.
Even though he's just a baby, Humphrey is ready to charm his way into almost any home. Whether you’re a family with young kids searching for a playful new best friend, a couple creating a warm and cosy life together, or someone who simply wants a loyal companion for quiet evenings, Humphrey is more than ready to steal your heart … and your lap too.
Humphrey is a gentle, playful, affectionate boy with a confident, curious nature. He enjoys meeting new people and quickly makes himself at home, always ready for cuddles, and companionship. And if you want him by your side, just put your lips together and blow.
He also loves the company of people. He was born in a Sydney backyard and was brought indoors at 7 weeks old. With in a few days he became a lap cat, happily sitting and demanding to be scratched.
If you’re looking for a great companion then this cat’s looking at you, kid.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
