About Belle
Belle's foster carer describes her as such a sweet girl who brings a beautiful energy as a companion for a single person or quiet couple. She's often found resting on her favourite blanket, and will venture around the house from time to time to have a chat.
Belle is still learning to trust her foster humans, so although she's happy mingling in the same room as them, she's still not comfortable with being handled. At the moment Belle is happy to give her foster carers hand a little sniff. Belle has been pattable in the past with humans she has learned to trust.
Belle is happy to wander around her foster house often communicating with sweet little chirps to let you know she's hungry or needs her litter cleaned.
Belle would thrive in a quiet home as an only cat, where she can relax and be her sweet self.
Belle has a tummy that can be sensitive/reactive at times if new foods are introduced too suddenly. Her tummy is currently stabilised on Hill's Gastric Biome. Belle is a clean cat and is really good at using her litter tray.

Known pre-existing conditions: Belle can have some tummy sensitivities if changed to a new food too quickly. She is currently on Hill's Gastric Biome and is doing well on this food with no issues.

๐ ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION
As well as working with dogs, Sunny Days runs Victoria's only specialised stray cat rehab facility in Avalon, Vic. Our rehab centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is in constant demand due to the sheer number of cats born wild, and dogs no longer wanted.
๐ HOW ARE WE FUNDED?
Despite the demand, we have no source of ongoing funding. Unlike public pounds who enter into contracts with local councils to be the facility responsible for housing lost animals in that municipality, volunteer-run shelters like ours do not receive any government funding, we are left to fund our work through our own pockets and community donations.

๐ OUR WORK WITH CATS
We take in full cat colonies, pregnant and nursing mothers, ophan kittens, FIV positive cats, and sick or injured cats. Cats are humanely trapped after being identified as un-owned and we support them through full rehabilitation from wild and unhandleable to fully domesticated. We don't give them deadlines to be socialised by or they'll be euthanised, we provide sanctuary for them for as long as they need.
