About Archer
Archer is a desexed male domestic cat available for adoption in Aberfoyle Park (Southern Adelaide, SA).
Archer is a cat who makes sure you know he's home. His signature move is a squeaky little meow paired with a chirp that's impossible not to smile at.
He's sweet and social through and through, quick to make himself part of the household from day one.
He's a genuine lap cat, happiest curled up with you on the couch or tucked into bed at night. Give him outdoor access, and he'll happily potter about before trotting back in for pats.
A little about Archer:
🐾 Chirps and squeaky-meows a running commentary as he follows you room to room
🐾 A genuine lap cat who also loves pottering around outside at his own pace
🐾 Adaptable by nature, having settled easily into more than one new home
🐾 Loves children who play alongside him rather than scoop him up
🐾 Has lived happily with a friendly, calm dog before
Archer's days have an easy rhythm. If he has outdoor access, he'll head out to explore before coming back in for a rest in a sunny spot.
Inside, he's just as content. He'll claim the windowsill, settle on the lounge, or follow you around while keeping up a steady stream of chirps.
He's a cat who likes to be involved, whatever you're doing, wherever you are.
Archer shows his affection through headbutts, kneading, and that distinctive chirp.
With people he knows, he's warm, attentive, and always close by.
He takes his time deciding who's worth knowing when someone new arrives. Once he does, you've got a devoted, chirpy shadow for life.
Archer would suit a calm household with access to the outdoors or a secure enclosure, where he can explore at his leisure.
Think sunny windowsills to nap in, a garden to wander, and a household happy to let him set his own pace.
He gets along well with friendly, calm dogs, and children who are gentle and give him room to move.
Car trips aren't Archer's favourite, and he tends to let you know about it. A calm, patient approach to travel goes a long way with him.
Picture weekend mornings with Archer stretched across your lap, that little chirp when you walk through the door, the click of the cat flap as he lets himself back in, and evenings together on the couch.
Archer's people will know exactly what they've got: a characterful, affectionate cat who talks to you, loves deeply, and makes a house feel like his.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
