About Socks
Socks is a beautiful six-year-old black and tan Kelpie with a gentle soul who’s looking for a loving home to call her own. She’s a sweet girl who thrives on love, kindness, and clear guidance.
She enjoys pottering about and playing with her doggy friends. During her time in foster care, Socks has truly blossomed, showing her affectionate and gentle nature. She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings and enjoys play and companionship.
Socks has been tested with cats, horses, cattle, and sheep and shows no interest in herding them — if anything, the sheep are more likely to herd her. She is crate-trained and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. Her recall is improving, though she is still polishing some of the basics. Her lead manners are amazing, and she happily walks at heel with no corrections required.
Socks does get travel sick, but is happy in the car. or unnecessary car trips. She also adores spending time with little humans, happily joining them for walks or laying quietly with her head in their lap.
Socks is seeking a patient home where she’ll receive plenty of love, cuddles and steady guidance. She would love another friendly dog companion to play with, though she would also be very happy as an only dog home.
