About Roofus
Meet Roofus! He is a sweet boy looking for a patient and understanding home committed to helping him settle into a new environment. He would love a family with Dachshund experience who understands the breed's strong personality traits.
Roofus may be able to go home with a tolerant and easygoing female dog pending a successful meet and greet, with slow introductions and thoughtful management. He would best suit a home with older children, teenagers, or adults who can support him as he builds confidence with new experiences and walks.
Roofus enjoys toys, especially squeaky ones, and loves being close to his people. With time, structure, and plenty of enrichment. This affectionate little guy will thrive in a calm and supportive home environment. If you're a dachshund enthusiast, come and meet Roofus!
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
