Meet Calex, a handsome Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a gentle heart and a quiet, sensitive nature. Around 2 years old, Calex has lived a very sheltered life and is incredibly shy when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations. He will need a patient and understanding family who can give him the time he needs to build trust and confidence at his own pace. Beneath his timid exterior is a sweet little companion who is ready to blossom in a calm and loving home.

Calex has lived with many other dogs and absolutely loves the companionship and comfort they provide. He would do best in a home with another friendly and confident canine companion to help him feel secure and supported as he adjusts to family life. Because of his limited exposure to the outside world, Calex may feel fearful around traffic, busy environments, and public walks, so gentle guidance and reassurance will be important as he learns new experiences can be safe. With patience, kindness, and a peaceful environment, Calex has every chance to grow into a loyal and affectionate companion.
